Well another year has come and gone, much has happened and much hasn’t but this year will be great as I’m finally finishing off the Unrelenting album, it has some amazing guests, one in particular is Maya Jupiter who came into the studio to record a track with yours truly and I must say it rocks, another person who is involved is Avene who will mix and master this project and it is exciting to be working with him again after so many years. The other project I’m excited about is Mistery’s solo effort called ‘Way of the worrior’ which is based on Mistery’s love for the martial arts, I’ve produced about a third of the album so far and have heard some of Mistery’s flows which are honestly the best stuff I’ve ever heard from him,
more soon.

80's Music22 Oct 2005 09:01 am

I miss the era when Prince wasn’t a symbol, when Michael Jackson was black and so was Peter Gabriels hair, when spandex, hairspray and make up was worn by just as many men than women, when we could still see Bono’s eyes, when we were told to “choose life” and “relax don’t do it”, when drums where loud and colours where even louder, those were the days when we were “walking on sunshine” when Madonna was a virgin……er. I’m talking about the 80’s, that era that could not have existed if not for the drum machine and the synthesizer, Disco was dead and so was punk but glam rock was still thriving as was heavy metal, ska, power ballads and the radio waves were peppered with one hit wonders, Duran Duran were kings and Culture Club were queens! Hip-hop was exciting and Breakdancing was a fad, HAA! If I could only listen to one era of music it would definitely be the 80’s, now where did I put my Rubics Cube?

At the mo’ I’m working with an Mc called Jobi One, you might’ve heard her on the ‘Straight from the art’ compilation, we’re putting some tracks together for her album which are sounding Freshhhh! Hard hitting street hip-hop and soulful beats are the vehicle for Jobi’s raw urban delivery , along with cuts done by Kid Dream and some other surprise guests, more details soon.

Well this is the title of my second solo project and I must say it’s coming along nicely!
It’s an upbeat party album with special appearances by Mistery (other half of Brethren), Hoodsta, Oakbridge from Pragmatics just to name a few. At the moment all tracks are recorded but unmixed, and the album is going through a culling stage to hopefully bring you a solid project, which will be released early 2006…
hopefully soon i’ll have some music up on here for you to check out!
but more news soon.
